6 Ways To Build A Connection With Fellow Bloggers For Greater Reach

Collaborating with your fellow bloggers comes with many benefits. The main benefit would be that you will increase your audience reach. You also get to learn lot of different things on how you can improve your site.

In this article I will be sharing on how I connect and collaborate with other Bloggers for greater reach;

1. Introduce yourself + connections beyond bloggers

Make a list of all fellow bloggers from your niche. Never mind their popularity, but make ta list and introduce yourself. This list of potential connections may include not just bloggers but also event organizers, blog editors, journalists, etc. who could help you meet new bloggers.

You can also host or attend events. The event will most likely include lots of people, and the high chances are that you will manage to make a few friends and connect with new bloggers.  If you host the event, this will be a great chance for you to get to know lots of people you initially didn’t know.

2. Develop a Genuine Interest in Each Other’s Posts

Developing an interest that is genuine with other bloggers will improve your relationship with them. Try to follow their blogs and make relevant comments on these posts and also get subscriptions to their newsletters.

Ensure that you include them on specific social media circles such as in Google+ and Twitter. You can take it a notch higher by utilizing Google Alert or RSS feed. No matter how busy your schedule is, take the time to go through their posts and make comments. In case you like a blogger to go through your posts and leave their views and opinions about them, email them personally.

Promote the web content of your fellow blogger through social media by sharing it. This can be a powerful relationship builder. You should give priority to platforms in which you are more active than they are. This will generate traffic for them as they access a brand-new audience.

3. Tap into the Power of Guest Blogging

Guest blogging is probably the most effective way to build connections. As a guest blogger, you will be able to access their audience. In turn, your blog will get a positive boost when it comes to search engine optimization (SEO). As a recipient of guest blog, you can publish content on topics that you may not necessarily be an expert in.

4. Article Collaborations With Fellow Bloggers

A good way of collaborating is creating valuable article on a trending topic which is written in two parts. Whereby you publish one part and your collaborator publishes another part.

First, you need to get in touch with a blogger who is in the same industry as you. With this candidate, select and pick a subject or theme passionate to both of you.

Second, after you have both agreed on the topics you are to work on, you should plan on when you are to publish the relevant posts. You can choose to post your articles on a topic simultaneously. Alternatively, you can opt to publish them at different times whereby one post will act as a response to the previously posted one.

Third, you can improve your collaboration by linking the posts. This way, you will both have access to an audience from each others blogs. This will not only help increase your traffic but also give a boost to your SEO rankings.

5. Conduct Interviews

When you engage each other by interviews, you create room to broaden the views and opinions you have regarding your site. This will make it easier and faster for you to create new content for your blog.

You can interview each other either through emails or other social media platforms. Through emails, you send questions to your fellow blogger. Other social media platforms such as Google+ Hangout enable you to converse through a video. Hold a direct and straightforward conversation about a relevant and applicable subject after which either or both of you can post the video on your blogs.

6. Motivate One Another

You can achieve this by looking for bloggers almost the same as you. Hold regular meetings with them with the aim of keeping yourself relevant and on track. Share with them your publishing time frames and get their opinions. This way, you will discover plenty of methods through which you can collaborate even more.

Conclusion: I hope these pointers will help you build connections with your fellow bloggers for greater reach of your blog and grow your traffic.

I’ve conducted #blogseriesinterviews https://goods-wanderers.blogspot.sg/search/label/blog%20interview%20series?max-results=6 . However, as heard from my friends / readers, it’s a little messy in terms of a lifestyle blog shouldn’t consist of interviews. What is your recommendation on this?

Well, this blog was by guest author Ana, so I will def share this with her and request to share her thoughts.. As for me, I don’t think that interviews make a lifestyle blog messy. In fact, I think interviews make it more interesting as read! The only thing you need to be careful is that your interview the right people. For instance, I would love to read interviews of fashion experts, popular chefs etc on your blog or just general public opinions (like street interviews) on lifestyle topics on your youtube channel.
So go for it I’d say…
