Tools For Instagram Analytics By User Type

Unlike other social media platforms which have their own detailed analytics dashboard, Instagram still does not have a very strong analytics or reporting dashboard. We hope to see Facebook rolling out a stronger Instagram analytics dashboard soon. Until then there are quite a few third-party tools that help you measure the engagement and effectiveness of your posts. Not all of them are free, but I have put together some tools based on usage.

Here are five Instagram analytics tools for every user type:

1) Simply Measured

User Type: Suitable if you are an Established Businesses with more than 50,000 Followers

If you are looking for some powerful in-depth analysis of your brand then Simply measured  is just the right tool for you. It will give you insights about your brands engagement, the photos that are working and your overall account performance on the platform. The free report is available for users with up to 25,000 Followers.

2) Social Insight

User Type: Suitable if you are a Small Business Owner/ New business owner on Instagram

SocialInsight.io is a perfect tool for small business owners who use Instagram. It’s affordable and provides with valuable insights needed for optimizing the platform. If you are a business with two or more people accessing the analytics, then the “team collaboration” feature in the tool works well. User Type: Suitable if you are an Agency & SME (Recommended for restaurants, hotels etc)

Pic Stats is a free tool created by social media guru Dan Zarrella. It helps you analyse your Instagram account for best tags, top commenters, top likers, filters and best tags for likes. To use this tool visit picstats.com and simply login with your Instagram account and it’ll start off by showing you the report for your account.
