The platform offers a unique way to search, find and engage prospects. How to Develop and Engage Prospective Leads on Social Media

In this post, we will be looking at a few tips you can use to develop and engage prospective leads on social media.

1. Use gated content

This is a type of content where a reader has to provide certain information such as email address to access it. When people click on your content’s link on social media, they will be brought to a landing page where they are required to do something in order to access the full content. This may include sharing the link or submitting their email address. This eliminates readers who have a casual interest in your product or content. The strategy will further weed out the unlikely buyers and increase leads.

2. Host a webinar or hangout or groups

Google+ allows for the creation of hangouts. The hangout can be open to everyone or be limited to a few people. You may require people to register in order to join your hangout or subscribe to your webinar. This helps you create a group of followers who are interested in your product or service. For example, if your group is for people who love PC games, only the people interested in those games will join. This helps polish your group to the people who will actually love your products. Make your webinar, hangout or group specific to a product or service. Don’t create general groups. You can then offer Demo products to your group members.

3. Use analytics tools

These tools will help identify more target customers by showing you what they hashtag or post. The tools will also enable you to know how your content fairs in social media marketing. This can help refine your marketing strategies and maximize the impact.

4. Be super-targeted

If you choose not to use any of the tips in this post, don’t ignore this one. To develop prospective leads, you need to make the audience feel that you care about them. This can only be achieved if you understand their plight and have a practical solution. Find the people that are right for your product and tailor your posts specifically for them. Content is king and it has to be specific to a certain audience for it to work. Always create consistent messages and deliver on your promise.

These four tips are essential if you want to develop and engage prospective leads on social media. The secret to success lies in understanding your audience and tailoring your messages to them. Use distinctive imagery and be consistent.
